The stresser SERP ecosystem is the set of pages that search engines return for the query "stresser" and its seven most common variants. As of our measurement, this ecosystem is dominated by DDoS-for-hire storefronts: 86% of the 80 top-10 results we captured are sales pages for booter services, while only 14% are news, dictionary, or code-hosting pages. This article publishes the dataset behind that number and three findings that none of the current top-10 results provide.

An IP stresser is a web service that floods a target IP address with traffic. Marketed as a load-testing tool, it is used in practice as a booter, a DDoS-for-hire panel. Using one against infrastructure you do not own is a crime under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030) in the United States, the Computer Misuse Act 1990 in the United Kingdom, and Directive 2013/40/EU across the European Union. How Was the Stresser SERP Measured?

We captured the top-10 results for 8 queries: "stresser", "ip stresser", "free stresser", "booter", "ip booter", "best stresser", "ddos booter", "web stresser". The capture ran in a single session on , yielding 80 rows. From these we extracted 30 unique storefront domains, excluding GitHub repositories, BBC News, SecurityWeek, GovInfoSecurity, FastSlang, and Wikipedia. For each storefront domain we recorded two objective attributes: the HTTP status code of a direct request, and the domain registration date from public RDAP records (the machine-readable successor to WHOIS, served by registries such as Verisign for .com). No accounts were created and no attacks were launched; classification is based solely on public pages and public registry data.

What Share of Stresser Search Results Are Storefronts?

86% of the 80 captured results (69 of 80) are storefront pages selling access to a stresser or booter service, measured 2026-09-03. The remaining 11 results split between news coverage of law-enforcement actions (BBC News, SecurityWeek, GovInfoSecurity), a slang dictionary entry, and GitHub-hosted stresser scripts.

How Old Are the Domains That Rank for "Stresser"?

The median age of a storefront domain ranking for "stresser"-cluster queries is 233 days, and 64% of storefront domains with public registry dates (16 of 25) were registered in calendar year 2026, per RDAP records checked 2026-09-03. The youngest domains in the top-10 are barely two months old.

The five youngest by days since registration at slice date: ipstresser.me (55 days), ipstresser.space (62), ip-stresser.online (68), ip-booter.vip (77), ipstressers.site (85). The oldest, vbooter.pw (2,800 days, registered 2019-01-03), did not respond to any request in our check.

Were Top Stresser Domains Registered Right After Operation PowerOFF?

Yes, for the two most visible ones. stresserx.com and stresserlab.com, which together hold 12 of the 80 captured top-10 slots, were both registered on 2026-04-15, two days after the April 13, 2026 wave of Operation PowerOFF that seized 53 stresser domains, according to Verisign RDAP records. stresserx.com is the single most frequent domain in our dataset, appearing in 7 of the 8 query top-10s.

Operation PowerOFF is the Europol-coordinated international takedown program against DDoS-for-hire services, running since 2018 with participation from the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI, and the German BKA. The April 2026 wave also produced 4 arrests, 25 searches, and more than 75,000 warning letters to identified customers. Our measurement shows the search-visible replacement cycle: within days of a seizure wave, newly registered domains occupy the vacated top positions. Both flagship domains of the current SERP (stresserx.com, stresserlab.com) have registration timestamps of 2026-04-15, i.e. within 48 hours of the April 13 announcement.

How Many Ranking Stresser Storefronts Are Actually Reachable?

9 of the 30 unique storefront domains (30%) failed to serve a page at all when requested directly on 2026-09-03: they returned connection failures or origin errors (HTTP 521/522). Another 3 (10%) blocked our automated request with HTTP 400/403. Only 18 of 30 (60%) answered with HTTP 200.

The unreachable set includes stresser.website, the second most frequent domain in the dataset with 6 top-10 appearances, which returned HTTP 521 (Cloudflare "web server is down") at slice time, and darkstresser.st, which holds 4 top-10 slots but refused the connection entirely. Search results in this cluster therefore point to infrastructure that is measurably unstable: a domain can hold a top-10 position while its origin is down.

What Do Stresser Storefronts Promise, and What Do Top-10 Pages Not Tell You?

Across the captured storefronts the marketing claims are near-identical: bypass of Cloudflare, Sucuri, and DDoS-Guard; "zero logs"; cryptocurrency payment in Bitcoin or Monero; a free tier; and capacity claims of 350 Gbps to 1.5 Tbps. Our dataset captures only that these claims are made, not that they are true. Empirical testing by law enforcement has repeatedly found large gaps between booter marketing and delivered attack volume.

The measurable question that no top-10 result answers is the churn of the ecosystem itself: how old ranking domains are, how many are actually reachable, and how quickly new domains replace seized ones. That is the gap this dataset fills, and it is why each number above carries a slice date, a sample size, and a method.

Conclusion: A Search Ecosystem Built on New Domains

The stresser SERP ecosystem in September 2026 is 86% storefront, has a median domain age of 233 days, regenerates its most visible domains within days of law-enforcement seizure waves, and is 30% unreachable at any given moment. For anyone searching "stresser", the practical conclusions are legal rather than technical: the pages that rank are the same services Operation PowerOFF seizes, their customer databases become evidence, and more than 75,000 identified customers received warning letters in the April 2026 wave alone. For legitimate capacity testing, use authorized load-testing tooling (see our alternatives page), and never a booter panel against infrastructure you do not own.
